Rift Valley Beauty and Rhino Sanctuary
Located; Nakuru, Rift Valley (2.5 hrs from Nairobi)
Lake Nakuru is renowned for its flamingos and rhino sanctuary. Lions and leopards roam the Acacia woodlands. There is also possible sighting of the Rothschild Giraffe.
Culture: The park sits in Kalenjin territory (mainly the Nandi and Kipsigis). The Kalenjin are famed as world-class long-distance runners. Their dances (Kapkatet songs and war dances) often celebrate victory and community spirit.
